What is the reason of my happiness?

What is the reason of my happiness? Happiness is something that everyone wants and few people actually achieve. However, some people are lucky enough to be able to enjoy a state of happiness. People who manage to stay happy usually have positive perspectives on life; they are optimistic and they feel good about themselves, their lives and the world around them.

What is Happiness?

Happiness can be defined as living in the moment, being appreciative and thankful for what one has (contentment), sharing love and affection with others, taking on challenges that one faces (growth), developing respect and tolerance of others’ beliefs and behaviors, contributing to the greater good and working toward one’s own personal growth (contribution), having financial security (financial stability), or achieving goals that have been set (accomplishment).

This can also be defined as a mental or emotional state of well-being defined by positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. A variety of biological, psychological, religious, and philosophical approaches have striven to define happiness and identify its sources.

Many people believe that they are the center of their own world and that they have full control over their lives. The truth is that we are not the center of our own world, but rather a result of a complex process of evolution. We are here because we fit in to the system.

In order to understand what happiness is, we need to look at what’s happening in the brain when we feel happy.

In fact, there are two types of happiness:

Genuine happiness – feeling good about yourself and your life

Shallow happiness – feeling good about satisfying your immediate needs

Even though it might seem that you should be able to feel genuine happiness forever, in reality it never lasts for too long and is usually followed by a period of shallow happiness which helps you get back on track. It’s kind of like a neurochemical reset button.

The problem with shallow happiness is that it can lead to an illusion of control over your life. When you make something external like money or possessions responsible for your happiness, you become dependent on them and in a way lose control over your life. That’s why true happiness comes from within – it’s something you create inside yourself, instead of looking for it outside. And once you learn how to do this, the real happiness is within you.

This is because happiness is not just something we feel in our hearts or minds; it’s also a result of all the things we possess. It’s possible that many people who think they’re unhappy are actually quite well-off but they are unable to appreciate the things they have.

What people call happiness

To be truly happy in this world, it is important that we learn how to appreciate what we have because only then we will experience true happiness. So we ask some few people what happiness is to them and this their reply below.

  • I want to be happy. I want to be happy in a way that I don’t have to make compromises, that I don’t have to lie, that I don’t have to deny my feelings, that I can control my own destiny.
  • Truly happy. Not just happy with myself, but also happy with others and happy with everything around me.
  • Being truly happy means being in control of yourself, your feelings and your life. It means being honest and it means having enough self-respect to not put up with stuff you don’t like.
  • I am truly happy when I live a life of my own choice and when I choose what makes me feel good at any given moment, instead of doing things because other people expect them from me or because I think it’s the right thing for me to do.
  • I am truly happy when I believe in myself and in all the possibilities I see around me. And when I know that no one can take those away from me.
  • I am truly happy when there are no obstacles between me and my goals, when all excuses are gone and there is no reason not to do what makes me feel good.

Why do we become happy?

There are three reasons. First, because of all the things around us. Second, because of our inner world. And third, because of our thinking skills.

We should use firstly things around us and make a good atmosphere for ourselves and be with people who can make us happy. When we feel lonely or bored, we can watch some beautiful or funny films or go to see some interesting places.

Then we should change our thinking skills and try to get rid of all the harmful thoughts which can make us unhappy. We should be optimistic and think that everything will end well. We should not think pessimistically in life, because it can’t help us to be successful in life. And finally, sometimes we have to take medicine when we are ill and so on. They will help us to feel better and happy.

Conclusion

The conclusion is that happiness is necessary for our life, but the reason will be different for all of us.
